Sichuan SMG
The Sichuan SMG is a rare submachine gun chambered for the 7.63×25 mm Mauser cartridge, manufactured in a private arms workshop in Sichuan Province. It represents a local attempt to produce the Thompson platform, which was well known to Chinese gunsmiths at the time. Its unusual layout and elongated proportions give the weapon an imposing, carbine-like look; however, its performance remains the same as typical pistol-caliber submachine guns. According to popular belief, these SMGs were intended for use by private security forces during China’s Warlord Era. |
